Adult Baseball By State

Nevada Baseball Leagues

Every adult baseball league we track in Nevada: what each one actually is, where it plays, and who to talk to. Written from the leagues’ own words where they still keep words somewhere, and honestly labelled where they do not.

  • Independent

Nevada Adult Baseball holds a domain that claims the entire state, which in Nevada means something specific: the population is concentrated almost entirely in Las Vegas and Reno, four hundred and fifty miles apart, with very little in between.

So a statewide baseball league is either an ambition or an administrative body, because no schedule survives that drive. Our records place this in Las Vegas alongside two SNAB entries.

We could not extract the divisions or the season. Nevada carries four listings, three in the south and one in Reno.

  • Reno
  • 7 teams
  • NABA

Reno/Tahoe NABA sits on a hosted account named RENOADULTBASEBALLLEAGUE, which is a third name for the same operation and suggests the league has been through at least two identities.

Reno and Lake Tahoe are forty miles and four thousand feet apart, and a league spanning both is dealing with genuinely different playing conditions at either end. Reno sits at four and a half thousand feet in high desert; the Tahoe basin is at six thousand two hundred and holds snow into June.

The site returns a 403. This is the only northern Nevada listing in our records.

  • Las Vegas
  • MSBL/MABL

Southern Nevada Adult Baseball is the second of our two SNAB records, pointing at the same BallCharts account as Southern Nevada MABL/MSBL through a different URL structure.

BallCharts is another of the older hosting platforms that quietly keeps working while flashier competitors get acquired and retired. Our Lower Mainland Baseball Association in Vancouver is on it too, which makes it one of the few platforms in this directory serving leagues in two countries.

This is the thirteenth duplicate pair and the evidence is about as strong as it gets: identical account, identical city, one founding date between them. Somebody in Las Vegas can confirm it in a sentence.

  • MSBL/MABL

Southern Nevada MABL/MSBL was founded in 2000 and runs on BallCharts under the account SNAB, and our separate Southern Nevada Adult Baseball record points at the same platform with the same three letters.

Two entries, one account name, one city. SNAB is presumably Southern Nevada Adult Baseball, which makes our MABL/MSBL record the formal affiliation and the other one the working name.

Las Vegas plays baseball in a climate that runs a hundred and ten degrees in July, so the season is built around avoiding the middle of the summer entirely rather than around the cold. Three Las Vegas listings in our records, at least two of which are this league.

Before you ask

Common questions

  • How many adult baseball leagues are there in Nevada?

High Cheese currently tracks 4 active adult leagues in Nevada, carrying 24 teams between them. That is what we can stand behind today, not a claim that nothing else exists. Leagues form in somebody's driveway every spring and tell no one for two years.

  • How do I join a league in Nevada?

Make a profile and turn the free agent switch on. That is the whole ask. Managers across Nevada search this pool the week their shortstop discovers a work trip every Saturday through August, and they find whoever put themselves in it. You list what you throw, where you play, how far you will drive. The invitation comes to you. The other route is emailing an address nobody has opened since the last board handover, then waiting.

  • When does the season run in Nevada?

Season lengths differ by league and are listed with each one below where the league states them. Broadly, amateur baseball is a late-spring-to-early-autumn arrangement, compressed at the northern end of the map into whatever window the weather grudgingly concedes.

  • Which Nevada towns have leagues?

Leagues on this page are based in Las Vegas and Reno. Most draw players from well outside their listed town, so a drive is normal and nobody will think less of you for it.
