The Edmonton Baseball League is live, planning a 2026 season, and keeps FAQ, Rules and About pages along with a calendar and standings. We can tell you it exists and that somebody is maintaining it. Past that the site is a shell that loads its content dynamically, and the parts a prospective player actually needs, the divisions, the fee, the fields, the month it starts, never arrive as text we can read.

This is a modern and slightly maddening failure mode. The old dead league site at least announced itself as dead. A page that renders a header, a navigation bar and an empty calendar looks entirely healthy while telling you nothing, and a person deciding whether to spend a summer on this has to click through four sections to find out.

The league is on Facebook and Instagram, which is very likely where the answers actually live. If you run it, send the season dates and the divisions and this listing will say something useful instead of describing your website.

Common questions

  • How many adult baseball leagues are there in Alberta?

High Cheese currently tracks 1 active adult league in Alberta, carrying 0 teams between them. That is what we can stand behind today, not a claim that nothing else exists. Leagues form in somebody's driveway every spring and tell no one for two years.

  • How do I join a league in Alberta?

Make a profile and turn the free agent switch on. That is the whole ask. Managers across Alberta search this pool the week their shortstop discovers a work trip every Saturday through August, and they find whoever put themselves in it. You list what you throw, where you play, how far you will drive. The invitation comes to you. The other route is emailing an address nobody has opened since the last board handover, then waiting.

  • When does the season run in Alberta?

Season lengths differ by league and are listed with each one below where the league states them. Broadly, amateur baseball is a late-spring-to-early-autumn arrangement, compressed at the northern end of the map into whatever window the weather grudgingly concedes.

  • Which Alberta towns have leagues?

Leagues on this page are based in Edmonton. Most draw players from well outside their listed town, so a drive is normal and nobody will think less of you for it.
