Kansas Baseball Leagues

Every adult baseball league we track in Kansas: what each one actually is, where it plays, and who to talk to. Written from the leagues’ own words where they still keep words somewhere, and honestly labelled where they do not.

  • Kansas City

  • NABA

The Kansas City Amateur Baseball Association sits on a LeagueLineup account named kcnaba, which identifies it as the NABA affiliate for the metro whatever the association calls itself now.

Kansas City straddles a state line, and our records place this on the Kansas side while a great deal of the metro's population and most of its ballparks are in Missouri. A player looking for a game there should ignore the state entirely; the league will not care which side of State Line Road you live on.

We could not extract the divisions or the season from the page. Between this and Kansas City MSBL, whose Pointstreak address died in an acquisition, the metro currently has no readable adult baseball listing in our directory at all.

  • Kansas City
  • MSBL/MABL

Kansas City MSBL pointed at a Pointstreak address, and Pointstreak was acquired by Stack Sports and retired, so the link now lands on a software company's homepage.

This is the third league in this directory to lose its front door in the same transaction, alongside Fresno MSBL and MABL/MSBL of Southern Colorado. One corporate acquisition, three leagues across three states, each now unreachable at the address everybody had bookmarked. Nobody was told. The redirect simply changed one day.

Kansas City is a serious baseball town with a serious baseball history, and we hold two listings for it, this and the amateur association, neither with a working address. Send us where this lives now.

Common questions

  • How many adult baseball leagues are there in Kansas?

High Cheese currently tracks 2 active adult leagues in Kansas, carrying 6 teams between them. That is what we can stand behind today, not a claim that nothing else exists. Leagues form in somebody's driveway every spring and tell no one for two years.

  • How do I join a league in Kansas?

Make a profile and turn the free agent switch on. That is the whole ask. Managers across Kansas search this pool the week their shortstop discovers a work trip every Saturday through August, and they find whoever put themselves in it. You list what you throw, where you play, how far you will drive. The invitation comes to you. The other route is emailing an address nobody has opened since the last board handover, then waiting.

  • When does the season run in Kansas?

Season lengths differ by league and are listed with each one below where the league states them. Broadly, amateur baseball is a late-spring-to-early-autumn arrangement, compressed at the northern end of the map into whatever window the weather grudgingly concedes.

  • Which Kansas towns have leagues?

Leagues on this page are based in Kansas City. Most draw players from well outside their listed town, so a drive is normal and nobody will think less of you for it.
