Florida Baseball Leagues

Every adult baseball league we track in Florida: what each one actually is, where it plays, and who to talk to. Written from the leagues’ own words where they still keep words somewhere, and honestly labelled where they do not.

Playing baseball in Florida

  • Miami
  • Other

The American United Baseball League in Miami keeps a domain that exists only to forward visitors into a LeagueLineup page. The address in our file is a frameset, a piece of web plumbing that was obsolete before most of this league's players finished high school, and it contains no information of its own whatsoever.

So the league is reachable, in the sense that a person clicking through will eventually arrive somewhere useful. It is not describable, because everything real lives one hop past an address that answers with a redirect and a page title.

Miami carries four adult baseball listings in our records, which for a city that produces professional ballplayers at the rate it does feels low. If you run this one, send the destination directly and we will list that.

  • Orlando
  • Est. 2012
  • 51 teams
  • 17+, 18+, 30+, and 40+
  • MSBL/MABL

Central Florida MABL was founded in 2012 and carries fifty-one teams, which makes it the second largest league in our records after Denver. Fourteen years to fifty-one clubs in the Orlando area is remarkable growth by any measure.

Its site sits behind a host that returns a 403 to anything that is not a browser, so the divisions, the fields and the fee are all published and none of them are quotable here. That is the recurring frustration of this directory: the biggest and best-organised leagues are precisely the ones on professional hosting platforms, and professional hosting platforms are configured to refuse us.

Orlando supports four separate adult baseball listings in our records and this is by far the largest. Go to the site; it will answer every question this paragraph cannot.

  • Clearwater
  • 8 teams
  • Other

The Clearwater Baseball League's domain does not resolve. clearwaterbaseball.com fails DNS outright, which puts it in the same category as Central Alabama MSBL: not a broken page or a lapsed certificate, but a name that no longer points anywhere at all.

Clearwater is a Phillies spring training town with a ballpark and a long baseball memory, and it sits in the middle of a Tampa Bay area that we hold three separate listings for. Whether this league folded, merged into one of the others, or simply let a registration slip is not something the internet will tell us.

If it is still playing, we would like to say so properly. If it is not, we would rather record that than leave a name pointing at nothing.

  • Miami
  • 4 teams
  • Other

The South Florida Federal League describes itself as semi-pro rather than adult recreational, and the distinction runs through everything on its site: a draft, a championship series, and a section tracking players who have gone on to professional prospects.

That is a different proposition from most of this directory. The leagues listed alongside it are selling three hours away from your job. This one is at least partly a place where a player who did not get drafted keeps himself visible, and where somebody scouting might actually look. The Davie Goliaths and the Cubs turn up in its championship coverage.

Note for anyone comparing: we also carry a Federal League in Minnesota, and the two are unrelated beyond the name. The site itself is a news hub rather than a handbook, so the fields, the fee and the entry route are not laid out. [email protected].

  • Orlando
  • MSBL/MABL

Florida Adult Baseball runs two divisions on two different nights, and the split is the most practical piece of scheduling on this site: 19+ plays Tuesday evenings, 30+ plays Sunday mornings. Younger men are free on a weeknight. Older men have Sunday before the day fills up. Nobody is negotiating with anybody's family.

Early registration is $340 for the 19+ side and $270 for 30+, due by August 1, with the fall season opening September 8 across Manatee and Sarasota counties. Registration itself is free and payment only happens once you have been placed on a team, which is a genuinely decent arrangement: nobody is out of pocket for a season that might not have a roster spot in it.

Teams cap at twelve players, which is tight and deliberate, because a twelve-man roster means everybody plays. Scoring runs through GameChanger. Anyone who cannot commit to a fixed team goes into a free agent pool that managers call on week to week, which is the answer for a man whose work schedule will not hold still. [email protected], and there is a rainout line at 941-999-1146.

  • Jacksonville
  • Est. 1989
  • 9 teams
  • 18+
  • MSBL/MABL

Jacksonville MABL has been running since 1988 with nine teams: the Wahoos, Suns, Kings, Indians, Cubs, Cruisers, Bulls, Bootleggers and Angels. Wood bats, 18+, plus a 35/42+ side, playing mostly at Marietta Bulls Bay Park on the west side of the city.

New players come in through a draft rather than by finding a manager who owes somebody a favour, which is the fairest arrangement in adult baseball and the rarest. Six games gets you playoff eligible. You need to be in uniform by your third.

The best rule on the site concerns paperwork: a team that fails to upload its statistics faces a fifty dollar fine and banishment from playoff consideration. Banishment. Somebody in this league spent a season chasing scorebook screenshots and decided never again, and the word choice tells you exactly how that season went.

  • Fort Myers
  • 9 teams
  • Other

The Lee County Men's Baseball League runs out of Fort Myers and keeps its whole presence on a Facebook profile that a directory cannot read past the title.

Fort Myers is a two-team spring training town. The Red Sox are at JetBlue Park, the Twins at Hammond Stadium, and for six weeks every year the city is full of professional baseball and the people who follow it. Then everybody leaves, and what remains is the leagues that play there the other forty-six weeks, of which this is one.

We can confirm it exists and confirm nothing about how to join it. If you organise it, send the season and the field and this becomes a listing rather than an observation about the town.

  • Bradenton
  • 2 teams
  • Independent

The Manatee Adult Baseball League is a registered Florida not-for-profit running 19+ recreational hardball on Wednesday nights at seven, at Lakewood Ranch Park and Braden River Park. Spring starts February 11, with training games from January 28.

Its fee model is unlike anything else in this directory: twenty-five dollars a game, or a hundred for five, and walk-ups are welcome. No season commitment, no team fee, no draft. You turn up on a Wednesday with twenty-five dollars and you play. For a man working shifts, or new to the county, or unsure whether his shoulder has one more year in it, that is the lowest possible barrier to finding out.

The league calls itself a club atmosphere open to all skill levels, and the pricing is the proof rather than the claim. Everything else on this site sells a season. This sells an evening.

  • Bradenton
  • 19+ and 30+
  • MSBL/MABL

Manatee/Sarasota MABL has no website on file at all, and it sits in a part of Florida already well represented in our records: the Manatee Adult Baseball League plays Wednesdays at Lakewood Ranch, and Florida Adult Baseball runs 19+ and 30+ across the same two counties.

Three listings, two counties, one of them with no address. The most likely explanations are that this is an older name for one of the other two, or an MABL affiliate that runs alongside them, and we are not going to pick.

What we will not do is quietly delete it. A league with no website is not the same as a league that does not exist, and the men who play in it would be entitled to ask why their name vanished from a directory because they never built a homepage.

  • Ocala
  • Other

Men's Baseball of Ocala plays Sundays only at the Rotary Sports Complex on Maricamp Road, spring from January to May and fall from August to November. Ten regular season games plus playoffs, nine innings or two hours fifty minutes, whichever ends first.

The fee is about $160 a person plus $75 for a jersey and hat, which is among the lowest on this entire site, and the season structure explains why: ten games on one field, no travel, no complicated division ladder. Wood bats only. Metal cleats and your own helmet are recommended rather than required.

New players get picked up by teams during pre-season scrimmages, which is a tryout by another name and a kinder one. You turn up, you play a few innings, somebody decides they want you. Past champions include the Marlins and the Ocala Lightning. [email protected] or 352-615-4060.

  • Fort Walton Beach
  • Roy Hobbs Baseball

The Okaloosa Men's Baseball League celebrates its twenty-fifth year in 2026, playing spring and fall seasons around Niceville, Fort Walton Beach and Eglin Air Force Base. It is chartered through Roy Hobbs, open to anyone eighteen and over who is not still in high school, and states that all skill levels are welcome.

What makes the entry worth reading is the league's stated principle, which is not the usual boilerplate about camaraderie. It says all willing players deserve an opportunity to play organised baseball, and then commits to fielding every player and to keeping teams at parity so that each scheduled game is actually competitive. That is a harder promise than it sounds. Parity means somebody has to break up the good team, and somebody has to tell a manager he is not getting the ringer.

An air force base in the catchment explains part of the twenty-five years. Personnel rotate through Eglin constantly, and a league that guarantees a new arrival will actually play is one that never runs short. [email protected], or (850) 864-PLAY.

  • Orlando
  • Other

The Orlando Amateur Baseball League lives on a Facebook profile and nothing else, which puts Orlando in an odd position: we hold four adult baseball listings for the city, and they range from a fifty-one team league on professional hosting to this.

That range is worth understanding if you are choosing. A very large league offers divisions that fit you precisely and a schedule somebody is paid to maintain. A small one offers the manager's mobile number and a game that will not be cancelled because a division was short. Neither is better. They are different products and the word amateur in this one's name is doing honest work.

We cannot read the page, so the season, the fee and the field are unknown to us. Somebody in Orlando knows all three.

  • Orlando
  • Other

The Orlando Baseball Association keeps a Facebook page, and calls itself an association rather than a league, which may be a meaningful distinction or may be a name somebody liked in 2014.

It matters because an association usually implies something above the level of a single competition: a body that sanctions play, holds the insurance, and runs more than one league underneath it. If that is what this is, it belongs in our records differently than the three other Orlando entries we carry, and possibly above one of them.

We cannot tell from a page we cannot open. This is the fourth Orlando listing and the second we cannot read. Any organiser in that city who sent us a single paragraph would improve four entries at once.

  • Palm Beach
  • 13 teams
  • Other

Palm Beach MABL/MSBL is a wood bat league of twelve teams: the Aces, Aliens, Barnstormers, Beach Bums, Braves, Caribe Stars, Diamondbacks, Guardians, Heat, Marlins, Mets, Orioles, Sugar Kings and Thunder. Games are mostly Sundays with the occasional midweek fixture, at grounds including Santaluces and Dave Manzo, and the 2026 summer season runs from February 19 all the way to September 14.

Seven months is not a summer season anywhere else in the country. It is what February means in Palm Beach, and the league also runs a winter season, which means baseball there is essentially continuous.

Team registration is $2,750 and non-refundable, with a $50 non-refundable player reinstatement fee where directed, which is a phrase implying a disciplinary process somebody had to build. The league runs a podcast called Sunny Days and Double Plays. Free agents enter their playing history through the site and get placed.

  • West Palm Beach
  • 18+ and 40+
  • MSBL/MABL

Palm Beach County MABL has no website in our records, and we separately carry Palm Beach MABL/MSBL, a twelve-team wood bat league running February to September with a published fee and a podcast.

Two Palm Beach MABL entries, one fully documented and one with no address. The obvious reading is that these are the same operation recorded twice, one under the county name and one under the town. The obvious reading has been wrong twice already in this directory, so we are leaving both.

If they are one league, tell us and we will merge them. If there really are two MABL leagues in Palm Beach County, that is worth knowing too, and worth saying more loudly than a listing with no link.

  • Pensacola
  • Independent

The Pensacola Men's Baseball League runs a 27+ division and keeps the most thoroughly wired presence of any league in this directory. Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X and TikTok, live streaming, published statistics and standings, the bylaws posted openly on Google Docs, and a donation link.

Twenty-seven is an unusual cutoff. Most leagues break at twenty-five or thirty, and choosing the year between suggests somebody looked at who was actually turning up rather than at what other leagues do.

The landing page is a hub rather than a description, so the fields, the fee and the season sit one click further in. Publishing your bylaws where anyone can read them is a rarer kind of openness than any of the social accounts, and worth saying so.

  • Miami
  • 29 teams
  • Independent

The South Florida Baseball League runs about thirty-one teams across four divisions: 18+, 28+, and a 35+ split into American and National. Clubs include the Miami Orioles and Amigos, the Broward Senators, South Florida Astros, Delray Devil Rays, West Palm Beach Cardinals, Aventura Braves, Southern Yankees, and a side called Miami JC. Games run at Sabal Pines, Sunset and Flamingo parks, with the 2026 season carrying through to late August.

The standings run on points, two for a win and one for a tie, which means this league permits draws and has built its table around that fact. In a region where an evening thunderstorm can arrive on schedule every afternoon in July, a league that can call a game level and move on is a league that has read its own weather.

There is an umpire evaluation system, which is either a sign of a well-run league or evidence of a very long argument some seasons ago. Registration is open to individual players and to whole teams.

  • Naples
  • Est. 2025
  • 18+
  • MSBL/MABL

Southwest Florida MSBL was founded in 2025 out of Naples, which makes it the newest league anywhere in our records. It has no website yet.

That is entirely reasonable at one year old. What a new league has instead is a group chat, a spreadsheet, somebody's cousin who agreed to umpire, and a field booked by whoever was willing to call the county. The website comes in year three, if the thing survives, and most of the leagues on this site went through exactly the same stage before anybody wrote about them.

Naples sits at the bottom of a stretch of coast where the population skews considerably older than the national average, which for an MSBL affiliate is less a problem than a market. If you are down there and looking for a game, this is the one that will be glad to hear from you.

  • Tallahassee
  • 5 teams
  • NABA

Tallahassee NABA started in 2021, which makes it one of the newest leagues in this directory and one of the few founded in the middle of a pandemic, when organising anything at all took a particular kind of stubbornness. Opening day for the spring 2026 season is April 26.

It has a West Division reaching toward Panama City, a hundred miles down the coast. That is a serious drive for a Sunday game, and it tells you what running adult baseball in the Florida panhandle requires: the population is thin enough that a league either extends its geography or does not fill its divisions.

Members get equipment discounts from Louisville Slugger, Akadema, EvoShield and Wilson, between ten and twenty-five percent, and the winning team gets championship rings. Rings, for an amateur league five years old. Somebody understands what people actually want out of this. Individual players sign up through the player pool.

  • Tampa
  • Other

Tampa Senior Baseball runs on a Facebook profile whose numeric identifier is high enough to indicate it was created very recently, which suggests either a new league or an old one that has just rebuilt its presence from scratch.

Senior in this context means age brackets rather than retirement, and Tampa Bay is a reasonable place for it: three of our Florida listings sit around the bay, and the region has enough retired and semi-retired people to fill divisions that would struggle elsewhere.

Beyond that we have a name and a login prompt. Send us the divisions, the field and the month you start, and this entry will be worth reading.

Before you ask

Common questions

  • How many adult baseball leagues are there in Florida?

High Cheese currently tracks 20 active adult leagues in Florida, carrying 130 teams between them. That is what we can stand behind today, not a claim that nothing else exists. Leagues form in somebody's driveway every spring and tell no one for two years.

  • How do I join a league in Florida?

Make a profile and turn the free agent switch on. That is the whole ask. Managers across Florida search this pool the week their shortstop discovers a work trip every Saturday through August, and they find whoever put themselves in it. You list what you throw, where you play, how far you will drive. The invitation comes to you. The other route is emailing an address nobody has opened since the last board handover, then waiting.

  • When does the season run in Florida?

Season lengths differ by league and are listed with each one below where the league states them. Broadly, amateur baseball is a late-spring-to-early-autumn arrangement, compressed at the northern end of the map into whatever window the weather grudgingly concedes.

  • Which Florida towns have leagues?

Leagues on this page are based in Bradenton, Clearwater, Fort Myers, Fort Walton Beach, Jacksonville, Miami, Naples, Ocala, Orlando, Palm Beach, Pensacola, and Tallahassee, and 2 more. Most draw players from well outside their listed town, so a drive is normal and nobody will think less of you for it.
