Wood, to a professional standard
The league is all wood bat and permits only bats approved for play in Minor League Baseball — a stricter test than most amateur leagues apply, since it rules out plenty of wood that would pass elsewhere. Players must be 18 or older. Rosters are built from a draft that follows the open tryout, and Original Division clubs may additionally sign free agents.
Borrowing the professional bat list rather than writing one is a sensible shortcut, and it tells a prospective player what kind of baseball this is. High Cheese keeps a league's own rules beside its schedule, so the bat standard is readable by a man deciding what to buy before February.
