Turn up, try out, get drafted
Open tryouts and registration are held at the Pompano Baseball Complex, 1700 NE 8th Street, Pompano Beach, beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday February 20, six to eight weeks before the season starts. Players must be 18 or older. The registration fee is $25 at signup, with a 20% discount for pre-registering online. A draft follows the tryout; Original Division clubs may also sign free agents outright.
Twenty-five dollars is the cheapest entry in this directory by a distance, and knocking five off it for filling the form in early is a league that would rather know its numbers in advance. High Cheese runs a join page carrying those terms and a free agent pool underneath, so the man who misses one Saturday in February is not waiting until next year.
