Two divisions kept for the history
The Original Division was founded in 1993 and is open to established teams; the Expansion Division began play in 2000 and originally filled its rosters only from the draft. The league is straightforward about where that stands now: there is no difference between the divisions any more, and the names have been kept to honor the league's history. It plays all wood, permitting only bats approved for play in Minor League Baseball, and it is open to anyone 18 or older who turns up to the tryout.
The site is thirty years of hand-built HTML and it does something almost nothing else in this directory attempts — it employs a wire service and writes real baseball copy about its own games. High Cheese gives a league that has that much to say one address it owns, with the standings, the schedule, the rosters and the writing on the same pages, instead of a table in one file and a story in another.
