For the love of the game
Men's Baseball of Ocala is a wood bat only league playing at the Rotary Sports Complex of Marion County on 5220 SE Maricamp Rd. Its front page does something almost nobody manages: it explains the whole league in eight lines. Spring runs January to May and fall runs August to November. Games are always Sundays. Nine innings, with no new inning after two hours fifty. A ten-game regular season, playoffs for the top four, then a championship game. Teams are recommended to carry a minimum of twelve players. New players are picked up by teams during pre-season scrimmage games. Fees are typically around $160 a person plus up to $75 for jerseys and hats. Bring your own wooden bats; metal cleats and a personal helmet are recommended.
That is every question a prospective player has, answered before he scrolls. High Cheese gives a league one address it owns carrying the schedule, the standings and every roster underneath a summary like that, so the eight lines lead somewhere rather than being the whole site.
