Twelve a side, and two clubs on record
The league recommends clubs carry a minimum of twelve players and keeps a Players page in its navigation. The only teams named anywhere are the two champions its blog records: the Marlins and the Ocala Lightning.
A ten-game season with a top-four playoff implies somewhere between six and eight clubs, and six of them have no public existence at all. Rosters on High Cheese update as men sign and follow a player between clubs and seasons, so the page already called The Players has players on it — including the ones who were picked up at a scrimmage in July.
