Dry, by design
The league publishes a rule book dated 2026 from its front page, and states one policy above all others in its own description: this is a very family oriented, non-alcoholic, non-tobacco venue.
For a league of 2,000 men playing on public and school fields across a county, that is not a preference -- it is the condition on which the permits are held, and it is why the league leads with it.
Its divisions are organised by age and ability together, from 18+ through 55+, specifically so that players find a level where they can compete comfortably.
A rulebook and a venue policy both need to reach 2,000 people. A High Cheese league page keeps the current version beside the schedule every one of them opens each week.
