Timed to fit four games in a day
The structural rules are set by the schedule. Regular season games are seven innings with no new inning after 135 minutes, which is what allows four games to run off one field between ten in the morning and seven at night. Playoff games are nine innings with no time limit at all.
Beyond that the league publishes a Rules & Regulations document and requires a signed player consent form before anyone plays.
The eligibility rule is simple: men 18 and over, in a recreational community league.
A rulebook belongs beside the fixture it governs. A High Cheese league page keeps the current version at the league's own address next to the schedule, where a manager looking at a 135-minute cutoff is already reading.
