The Bullpen is open
The league runs a podcast alongside its social accounts, and keeps a message board it calls The Bullpen, marked open on its front page -- a genuine forum for 2,000 players rather than a comment section.
Its news itself is operational: tryout dates and times by division, the managers' meeting, when team registration opens.
It also keeps a page listing players' lines of work, which is a league acknowledging that 2,000 adults who see each other every weekend are also a professional network.
A High Cheese league page pushes announcements into the schedule every player already carries, so a tryout notice reaches 2,000 phones rather than waiting on a homepage for people to visit.
