Four dates, all published
The fall runs to a published calendar: open tryouts on a Sunday in late August with times staggered by division, team registration opening 1 August, a managers' meeting on 1 September, and the season starting the weekend of 12 and 13 September, with no games on Thanksgiving weekend.
Free agents already registered are notified of tryout details automatically in early August, which is the one part of this calendar that reaches players without them having to check.
A season entered once on a High Cheese league page puts every one of those dates into each player's own calendar, so the tryout, the registration deadline and the opening weekend arrive without anyone maintaining a notification list for 2,000 people.
