A registration window and a start date
The published spring cycle runs team registration from January 27 to February 21, with league play beginning April 13. A second season runs in the autumn and winter, with its own registration form and fact sheet. Players may be added to the free agent list only through the eighth week of a season.
Publishing the registration window and the first day of play together lets a manager work backwards to when he has to have twelve men. A High Cheese calendar carries the playing season and the administrative dates on one subscription, so a roster deadline in week eight reaches the managers it binds.
