Every game somewhere else
Each league is a traveling league, with games rotating from location to location. The city describes the spread rather than the list: current field locations range from the mid-San Fernando Valley to East Los Angeles, and from Griffith Park to West Los Angeles and South Central.
That is sixty miles of city and no ground named, which for a Sunday morning in Los Angeles is the single most consequential missing fact — a Valley club drawn in South Central is looking at an hour each way. High Cheese ties the ballpark, the address and the map to the fixture itself, so a traveling league tells every man where he is going the moment the schedule is built.
