Scored, never totalled
The city publishes a blank baseball scorecard for clubs to download and use, so every game across four divisions is being scored on a common form. No batting or pitching statistic appears anywhere.
Handing out the scorecard and never collecting what goes on it is a decade of Los Angeles baseball evaporating one Sunday at a time. Statistics on High Cheese come out of the box scores as they are entered and follow a man between clubs, divisions and seasons, so the book a club already keeps becomes a record its players can find.
