Permits pending
The league maintains a Fields section and states plainly that it is waiting for fields to approve its permits.
That single line explains more about amateur baseball than a page of description would. Thirty clubs, a twelve game season and a Thanksgiving deadline all sit downstream of a municipal parks department returning a form. The four games posted 0-0 on August 2 may well be the same story.
High Cheese ties a ballpark and a map to the game on the schedule, so when a permit lands the fixture and the field move together rather than through a phone tree.
