Ten dollars to try out
The league publishes its fall terms exactly. Team registration opens 1 August at a fee of $1,975 with umpires at $100. Free agent registration is open continuously, and anyone already registered as a free agent is automatically notified of tryout details in early August. The tryout itself costs $10.
The 2026 open tryout ran on a Sunday at Hilton Head County Park with staggered times by division -- nine o'clock for the 45+ and 25+, quarter to twelve for the 18+, three o'clock for the 35+ -- with registration thirty minutes before each. A managers-only meeting followed on the first of September at a hotel at half past six.
Publishing a team fee, an umpire charge and a tryout fee together is more financial clarity than almost any league in this directory offers.
A join page that takes the free agent registration, states the fee and feeds the tryout list is what a High Cheese league page does at the league's own address -- and at 2,000 players, the notification list is the single most valuable thing this league owns.
