Somebody in this league writes a line for the games that deserve one, in the voice of the city — Doyers and Bravos are how Los Angeles actually talks about those two clubs. It is the smallest possible piece of baseball journalism and it makes a results table readable. A league on High Cheese gets a wire where finals post themselves as the books are finalized, so the man writing the headline starts with the result already in place.
