A banner and an archive
The league runs no news page. What it announces, it announces on the homepage: the next tryout with its date, time and park, and the current champions across every division.
Its League Archive menu carries three entries reading Coming Soon, which is the honest state of a site that has been built recently and well and is still filling in.
News on a High Cheese league page goes to the schedules players already carry, so a tryout date or a rainout reaches the men it concerns rather than waiting on the homepage for someone to visit.
