Twenty-five years, dated to the day
The league's own bylaws are dated 26 February 2002, which gives it a founding date most amateur organisations cannot produce, and it is marking its twenty-fifth year of local men's baseball in 2026. The rules have been revised at least as recently as February 2024, and they carry the marks of the intervening years -- shift rules and pitch clocks written in as the professional game changed, a pickoff limit deliberately left out.
What is not recorded anywhere is a single champion, a single team name or a single season's results from those twenty-five years. Every one of them was drafted fresh, played, and dissolved.
That is the cost of a parity league: nothing persists except the league itself. A High Cheese league page holds each season's teams, results and champion at the league's own address, so a twenty-fifth anniversary can point at something more than a number.
Okaloosa Men's Baseball League in detail

- The rules count games played and outs pitched; none of the counting is published.
- A support address, a recorded hotline that nobody listens to, and two social accounts.

- Games are played around Okaloosa County; one diamond is named, and directions live in a link.
- MLB's shift and pitch clock rules adopted with a straight face, and a pitch-count obligation on the older arms.
- Announcements go to Facebook and Instagram, and urgent ones go to a recorded line.
- No gallery is published on the league's own site.
- Sponsors may go on the jerseys, which belong to the league rather than the players.
- Every season ends in a single-elimination bracket with a championship game that plays until somebody wins.
- A president, secretary, treasurer and a board of at least four, elected from among themselves.
- Everyone plays three events a game, ties are allowed, and nothing starts after ten at night.
- Bylaws created in 2002 and revised in 2024, a registration form, a manager evaluation form, and arm-strengthening exercises.
- Two seasons, two registration Sundays, and games that never start a new inning after ten at night.
- Nothing is for sale; jerseys and hats come with the fee.
- Uniformed umpires at every game, paid out of the registration fee.
