Six games, then a bracket
The fall season is short and precisely shaped: six regular season games beginning the weekend of 30 August, then a single-elimination tournament, making seven games for everyone and an eighth for teams that stay in the winners bracket.
Game length depends on when you play. Weekend games are nine innings on a three-hour limit; weeknight games are seven innings on two and a half. A game is called for time if the next inning has not begun when the limit is reached, and the next inning begins at the third out of the current one.
The schedule itself is published as a printable PDF, one season at a time -- currently spring 2026, which has already been played.
Six games is a season with no room for a missed one. A High Cheese schedule puts each game and its field into every player's phone and moves them in place when a rainout gets made up, which the rules require inside ten days.
