Four kinds of writing
The SFBL publishes more original writing than any other league here: a news section, a recap on every completed game, a preview on every upcoming one, and a weekly Player of the Week.
Across three divisions playing every Sunday, that is a substantial amount of copy produced week after week.
It also keeps a Photos section beside it.
News on a High Cheese league page goes to the schedules players already carry, and a recap attaches to the game it describes -- so the preview, the box score and the write-up are one page rather than three.
