Two a year, counted separately
The league's own arithmetic is the clearest statement of its calendar: established 1992, 35th year, 66th season. It runs a spring and a fall competition every year, each with its own champions in each division.
Fall play runs into August and beyond; spring finishes before the worst of the summer.
The one gap in the record is 2020, where only a fall season is listed.
A season entered once on a High Cheese league page dates itself into every player's own calendar, spring and fall alike, so a league playing two competitions a year has two sets of dates that reach people rather than one paragraph that has to explain both.
