Red River Adult Baseball League

Red River Adult Baseball League History

Thirty-three years, two names, and a division structure that has changed almost every season.

Read the age brackets in order

The league began in 1993 as the Shreveport-Bossier Men's Senior Baseball League and became the RRABL for the 2009 season -- so it has been running for more than thirty years under two names, and our own directory carries both.

Its season archive is a record of a league constantly re-cutting its age brackets to fit whoever turned up. A Red River Division at 25-and-over in 2010. East and West divisions plus a fall league in 2011. A 21-and-over division in 2012. Then 21+ alongside 38+ in 2013 and 2014; 21+, 35+ and 45+ from 2015 through 2018; 18+ and 30+ from 2019 to 2025; and 18+ and 27+ in 2026.

Almost nobody keeps a bracket structure for more than four years. Reading it in sequence tells you when the league was big enough for three divisions and when it was not, which is a history of a kind and the only one recorded.

Seasons kept on a High Cheese league page hold their own standings, rosters and champion at the league's own address, so a thirty-three-year run reads as thirty-three seasons rather than as a dropdown of division names.
