Two requirements, stated twice
The RRABL has exactly two player requirements and it repeats them on both its welcome page and its information page, which tells you how often they come up. First, a player must be finished with his high school and college playing careers. Second, he must be at least three years removed from affiliated professional baseball.
It is unusually blunt about the first. The 18+ division is intended for players who have finished high school baseball and do not intend to play in college, or have already finished a college career completely. This is not a collegiate summer league, and anyone intending to play college ball at any level is not eligible and should not register.
That rule is the whole reason a league can call itself 18-and-over and still be an adult league. Without it, a twelve-game summer schedule in Shreveport fills with college arms and the twenty-eight-year-olds stop coming.
A rule that has to be restated in two places is a rule that needs to sit beside the join button. A High Cheese league page states eligibility on the same page that takes the registration, so nobody finds out in April.
