Sixteen seasons under this name
Under the Men's Senior Baseball League banner, this competition ran in Shreveport and Bossier City from 1993 until the end of the 2008 season -- sixteen years -- before renaming itself for the wider region it had come to draw from, the Ark-La-Tex.
The rename was the right one. A league taking players from North Louisiana, East Texas and Southern Arkansas had outgrown the name of two adjacent cities, and the Red River runs through all of it.
No standing, roster or champion from those sixteen seasons is published anywhere. The league's own online archive begins in 2010, a year after the change.
Seasons kept on a High Cheese league page hold their own records at the league's own address, so a rename carries the history across instead of cutting it in half.
