The best entry requirement in this directory
The NWIBL was founded with four teams in 2007 and has grown into what it calls the Portland metro area's premiere adult baseball league — twenty-six teams and nearly three hundred games in its 2025 season. Its invitation is one sentence: whether you're new to the game or have played at very high levels, we'd love to have you join the Portland area baseball community. Everyone is welcome, as long as you're not a jerk.
That is the whole entry policy, and it is the most effective one here — it tells a nervous beginner he is wanted and tells everybody else what will get them removed. The league adds that it is expanding again in 2026 with new teams and new locations. High Cheese gives a league one address it owns with three leagues' fixtures, tables and rosters on it, so a competition that has grown sixfold in eighteen years has somewhere to keep the record of it.
