Four weekends nobody plays
The season starts in late April, weather permitting, and runs regular season games through August with playoffs in August and September. Each league plays 14 to 16 games, most commonly one a week. And the league writes four weekends out of the calendar entirely: Mother's Day, Memorial Day, the Fourth of July and Labor Day.
Clearing those four in advance is the same decision a Minnesota league makes for its over-fifties, taken here for men in their twenties and thirties — it removes the four weekends that generate the most apologies. Adding weather permitting to an April start date in Oregon is simple honesty. A High Cheese calendar carries all three leagues on one subscription and syncs to every player's phone.
