Split by when you can play, not just how old you are
The league runs three competitions: 18 and older, 30 and older playing weekends only, and 30 and older playing weeknights only. It is explicit that plenty of men over thirty play in the 18+ if that is their preference, and openly asks for interest in a fourth — either a 45+ or a 55+ — saying it would love to hear from anybody who wants one.
Splitting the same age bracket by weekend or weeknight availability is the structural answer to the real reason men stop playing, and asking the public which older division to start next is how a league grows without guessing. High Cheese keeps a league's divisions and rules beside the schedule and against the rosters, so three competitions with different nights are legible to a man choosing between them.
