Wood, and twenty-five
Metal bats are not permitted; wood composite may be allowed subject to league approval and MSBL guidelines. Players must turn 25 during the calendar year to be fully eligible under standard MSBL rules, with limited exceptions and roster allowances depending on structure and availability. Team uniforms, baseball pants and proper equipment are expected. The season splits its format: seven-inning doubleheaders early, nine-inning single games during division play, and full playoffs for all eight teams.
Setting the floor at 25 rather than 18 changes who turns up, and saying so on the page saves everybody a conversation. High Cheese keeps a league's own rules beside its schedule, so the switch from doubleheaders to nine innings is readable by the men whose Sunday it lengthens.
