A budget, and the manager picks the shirt
The league provides game balls, scorebooks and a discretionary sum at the start of each year for the manager to spend on uniforms, caps and equipment — up to $400 per team per season, reimbursed by the Treasurer against receipts, with larger purchases possible if the President and Treasurer approve. The manager and players choose the jersey and cap design and buy it wherever they like, provided it matches the team logo. The site also runs a Merchandise page.
Giving a club a fixed budget and letting the players design the shirt is how you get men to care what they are wearing at fifty. High Cheese carries a gear shelf on every league and team page, so a design a team has just chosen sits next to the roster wearing it.
