Nobody pays but the players
The league names no sponsors. It funds itself from player fees, carries insurance through a sports insurer with a claim form published for download, and compensates its officers and managers the only way a small league can — by waiving their league fee.
Paying nine volunteers in free baseball is honest and it is also the whole compensation budget. The bylaws commit the league to marketing, promotion and recruitment across all four of its programmes, which is precisely what a local sponsor buys into. High Cheese carries sponsor placement on league and team pages, so a Bath business gets something visible in return.
