About the Fall River Independent Baseball League

Independent, and it means it

FRIBL runs six teams out of Fall River, Massachusetts — Bandits, Braves, Brewers, Expos, Republic Dominican and RI 401s — with seasons kept back to 2020 and every fixture played at Chew Park. It answers to no national body, which is what independent means here: its own schedule, its own standings with its own tiebreakers, its own playoffs.

What the league does not do is describe itself. There is no about page, no founding year, no officer named and no sponsor listed; the season is meticulous and the story around it is blank. High Cheese gives a league one address carrying both — the standings and the results it already keeps, with the league's own account of itself on the same page, so a man searching for baseball in Fall River finds something more than a table.
