Who the Brighton Black Sox are
The Brighton Black Sox are an adult baseball club in the Yawkey Baseball League, Greater Boston, Massachusetts.
They are one of five clubs the league carried into the season it then suspended.
The league suspended play for the 2026 season, announced on January 31, 2026, and says it will keep operating with the goal of returning to the field in 2027. They won the 2025 championship 4-0 over Al Thomas, sweeping both rounds of the playoffs for a third straight title.
The league is named after Thomas A. Yawkey, the former Red Sox owner and National Baseball Hall of Fame inductee.
Everything published about the Brighton Black Sox is the league's, and High Cheese gives the club an address of its own.
