Introduced as people
Tri-Valley's officers do not appear as a list of names and titles. Each writes his own introduction, and they are the best officer biographies in this directory.
Denny Brown, Chairman of the Board, opens with his father's Sunday baseball and being taken to games before he could walk, and his earliest big league memory -- Willie Mays' catch in the 1954 World Series on a black and white television, with his father disappointed the Giants swept because he had wanted seven games. At sixteen a scout told him, too bad you can't run, kid, you should stay in school. He stayed in school through an extended graduate career. He has played with or managed at least four major leaguers -- Bert Campaneris, Steve Brye, Bill Lee and Pete Hamm -- and credits his wife of fifty-six years for the fact he is still playing.
Bruce Fraser, League President, has played since he was seven, been in this league over twenty years and managed for most of them, and has played tournaments in San Diego, Arizona, Woodland, Monterey, Las Vegas and Cooperstown.
Mike Pankow, Vice-President, is a national and league Hall of Fame member who has played here since 1999 and describes himself as an ambassador to keep our friends playing with a reason to stay healthy.
Steve Gregovich, Treasurer-Secretary, has played since 1995, served on the original board and returned after the league's 2019 reorganisation.
A High Cheese league page attaches a working contact to each of those roles at the league's own address, with the rosters, fees and waivers they administer behind it.
