As long as our bodies are able
Tri-Valley MSBL started in 1992 and describes itself as celebrating over thirty years of quality baseball in the San Francisco East Bay. It is a friendly yet competitive hardball league, played within an hour's radius, and its explanation of why is short: for most of us we have played and followed baseball our whole lives, and this league allows us to continue playing as long as our bodies are able.
The divisions bear that out -- 18+, 40+, 50+, 60+, 68+ and 72+, which is six brackets and the widest age range in this directory. The league welcomes all skill levels and says it is proud to create an environment that makes everyone better.
It has collected twenty-three national championships.
One of its own players is quoted on the front page, and it is the whole pitch in one sentence: I had stopped playing softball around 2000, it was fun, but mark this day down because it will be my first game as a member of the 45+ Athletics -- wood bats, real spikes, real leads and baserunning, real pitching.
A league running six brackets across seven cities needs a record that holds all of it. A High Cheese league page keeps the schedule, the standings and every roster at an address the league owns.
