Named after people, which almost nobody does
This league does not call its divisions 35+ and 45+. It calls them the Angelo Marchiano Division at 35, the Phil Ball Division at 45, the Jim Malik Division at 55, and the Lloyde Terry Division for midweek Semi-Pro, with a Midweek American Division alongside them.
Four men whose names are attached to the competitions they presumably built or played their lives in, printed on every batting leaders page.
That is the strongest form of institutional memory an amateur league has, and it costs nothing.
The league also publishes a rules page and maintains a Waived Players list -- a public record of who is free to be picked up, which is the kind of transparency most leagues keep in an inbox.
A High Cheese league page keeps the rules beside the fixture they govern and the waived list beside the rosters it feeds, at the league's own address -- with the division names carried through the record rather than translated back into numbers.
