Wood bats, twelve months, and major league dirt
Palm Beach Baseball runs as a MABL/MSBL league in wood bats, with a summer and a winter season, twelve teams by its own description and fourteen approved for the summer of 2026. It plays mostly on Sundays with the occasional midweek game, and it says plainly that it is always looking to add talent.
The remarkable part is where. Its field list includes eight diamonds at the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches on Haverhill Road -- the Astros and Nationals complex -- and four at Roger Dean in Jupiter, where the Cardinals and Marlins train, with directions that end "carefully enter and park on grass". Adults in this league are playing on the back fields of two major league spring training sites, alongside a high school in Lantana and a park in Wellington.
For a league with that much going for it, almost nothing is legible from outside: no standings, no results, no rosters, no history. A High Cheese league page puts the schedule, the standings and every roster at an address the league owns, which is what turns fourteen teams playing at Roger Dean into something a searching player can actually find.
