Three words on the front page
The league leads with a slogan of three full stops -- Simple. Honest. Baseball. -- and calls itself Nebraska's premier wood-bat adult league, open to anyone 18 and over. What follows is refreshingly countable: twelve teams, fifteen games, nine innings on a three-hour limit, a season from late April to early September, baseballs provided, two paid umpires at every game, and a single-elimination tournament with a two-game guarantee.
Its stated aim is high quality, cost-effective baseball, and the rulebook backs that up in the way it spends money -- paid crews, three and a half dozen game balls issued per team, and a rule that the leftovers get split at the end of each game with the winners taking the larger share.
The schedule filter names Athletics, Braves, Dawgs, Dodgers, Giants, Kings, Ligers, Ralston Trash Pandas, Red Sox, Tropical Rockies and Twins. What none of them has is a page of its own that anyone outside can read. A High Cheese team page gives each club its own address with its roster, results and history on it, which for a league already entering box scores on the web is the same data arriving somewhere it can be found.
