The answers about money and clothes
Fees are the recurring theme of this rulebook. Teams pay half by the scheduled start of the season and the rest on a date the league sets, and missing either forfeits the next game with the money credited to the teams affected. A player who quits or is suspended forfeits his fees. A player asked to leave by his manager gets whatever refund the team decides to give him, from the team rather than the league. Several conduct penalties carry forfeiture of fees on top of the suspension.
Uniforms are specified rather than suggested: hats, jerseys, pants and cleats, with a screen-printed number at least six inches high on every back, no duplicates on a team, matching colours and design, and sponsor logos permitted. Metal or rubber spikes are required and tennis shoes are not allowed. Anyone out of uniform is ineligible until it is fixed. Catchers wear full gear including a cup, and anyone catching warm-ups wears a mask.
And a tie? If nothing is scheduled behind you, play on until somebody wins. If a game is waiting for the field, the California rule starts after the first full extra inning -- a runner on second and one out for each side -- and after two innings of that a league official decides whether to postpone it.
A league with answers this exact deserves them somewhere players will actually read. A High Cheese league page carries the rules beside the schedule, so a question about fees is answered on the same page that takes them.
