Everybody who turns up is in the order
There is no minimum or maximum roster size in this league, and every player at the field must be in the batting lineup. Batters cannot be removed or skipped except for injury or a prior commitment, and skipping a man who is present costs an out. Late arrivals go to the bottom of the order, with no substitutions.
Eight players makes a game. A short team may borrow from the opposition with the manager's consent or from another team altogether, and borrowed men play the outfield only; the borrowed player goes back as soon as a ninth arrives, unless he came from a third team, in which case he finishes. In the tournament a borrowed player does not bat and the ninth slot is an out. Playing with eight normally means taking an out in the ninth position -- which the opposing manager is free to waive.
The eleven club names the schedule filter carries are the only roster information on the site. A High Cheese team page belongs to the club rather than the season, so the Ralston Trash Pandas keep one address across every lineup, result and title they collect.
