He sends it to everybody
The route in is written in the first person by the man who runs it: if you are new to the area or looking for a team, email me your contact details, date of birth and playing history and I will send your information to every manager in the league — they will contact you for a personal tryout or simply pick you up over the phone. The form asks five things: name, date of birth, email and phone, positions played, and highest level of experience.
New managers and whole teams are welcomed too, with the league offering to help them find players. That is a free agent pool run by hand out of one inbox, and it works because one man is doing it. A High Cheese free agent pool does the same thing continuously and in public — every unattached player visible to every manager, all season, with no email to forward.
