The numbers, not just the name
This is the only league here that shows its working. The 2024 Cy Young went to Blake Kolons of the Mavericks with the whole line beside it: eleven games, eleven starts, 55 innings, 8 earned runs on 35 hits, 21 walks, 100 strikeouts, six complete games, 5-4, a 1.31 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP. The 2024 MVP, Doug Martin of the Mavericks at shortstop, hit .513 over 28 games with 40 hits, 14 doubles, 32 RBI and a 1.305 OPS. The 2023 winners are given the same treatment — a shortstop at .571 with a 1.500 OPS, and a pitcher 8-0 with 84 strikeouts in 47 innings.
It also tracks careers: one Monarchs pitcher's 300th men's league win is recorded on 8/11/24 against the Rockies, broken out as 128 in this league, 136 in another and 36 in the Mexican League. Statistics on High Cheese come out of the box scores as they are entered and follow a man between clubs, leagues and seasons, so a 300-win career is a page rather than three numbers somebody added up.
