Who the Bay State Pirates are
Bay State Pirates are an adult baseball club in the 28+ Boston Division of the Boston Metro Baseball League, playing home games at Barnes Memorial in Dedham, Massachusetts.
The club finished 11-6 in seventeen games and outscored their opponents by eighteen runs, closing the season on a win.
The BMBL was the Boston Men's Baseball League from 1988 until 2021 and a chapter of MABL/MSBL nationally for thirty-four years. It went independent in 2022 and changed the middle word to Metro, partly because the league had grown out past Boston and partly because it had not been men only for decades. Bay State Pirates play under the second name.
The 28+ Boston Division table, the ballpark in Dedham and the Bay State Pirates schedule are three separate pages on bostonmabl.com, and High Cheese is where they are one.
