Called franchises, and treated as such
The league does not call them teams. Its navigation heading is Franchises, and each of the five -- Al Thomas Athletics, Brighton Black Sox, Brighton Braves, East Boston Knights, McKay Club Beacons -- gets three pages of its own: a roster, a schedule and a statistics page.
That is fifteen club pages for a five-team league, and it is the correct amount of respect for organisations that have been running for decades. The Brighton Braves are in their sixtieth season.
Its Hall of Fame class names further clubs from the league's wider history: the Somerville Alibrandis, the Malden Bulldogs, Revere, South Boston.
A High Cheese team page belongs to the club rather than the season, so a sixty-year franchise keeps one address across every roster, result and championship it has collected.
