An award of their own
The Yawkey League gives out a Peter Williams Umpire of the Year award, and in 2025 it went to Jason Erdos.
Almost no league in this directory recognises its officials at all. This one names an annual award after an umpire and presents it alongside the Yastrzemski MVP and the Pedro Martinez Pitcher of the Year.
No association, rate or recruitment route is published.
Assigning crews across five franchises is the same problem as the schedule, and a High Cheese league page runs both from one fixture list -- with the umpire named on the game he worked, which is where an award like that comes from.
