Yawkey Baseball League

Yawkey Baseball League History

A past champions record, a Black Sox three-peat, and a franchise sixty years old.

Three straight, and then no season at all

The league's last completed season ended in August 2025 with the Brighton Black Sox sweeping the playoffs for a third consecutive championship. They beat the Brighton Braves in the semi-finals -- fighting off the first two games before closing it out in Game 3 -- and then came from behind twice in the finals to beat Al Thomas 7-3 in Game 4 and complete the sweep.

Five months later the league suspended play for 2026.

Behind that sit a Past Champions page, a League Awards page, a Hall of Fame, a Semi-Pro Hall of Fame, Gold Glove and Silver Slugger records and All-Rookie teams -- and a franchise, the Brighton Braves, entering its sixtieth season.

That is one of the deepest institutional records in this directory, assembled by a league that is currently not playing.

Seasons kept on a High Cheese league page live at the league's own address with the standings, rosters and finals attached, which is exactly what an organisation planning to return in 2027 needs to still have when it does.
