Somebody's job title
Savannah is one of very few leagues in this directory with a Field Maintenance Supervisor on its board -- a named officer whose role is the grounds -- alongside a field locations page and a note that a previous vice-president served as field director.
Practices are the teams' own problem: clubs arrange their own schedule and find their own locations, indoor or outdoor, and a permit must be filed to use a county baseball field. The league encourages teams to build relationships of their own with facilities.
That combination -- a maintenance officer for league games and permit self-service for practices -- is what running on public ground in a county actually looks like.
A High Cheese schedule attaches the ground to each game, so a fixture and its field arrive together and the maintenance supervisor knows which diamonds carried which weekend.
