One document nobody plays without
The league publishes its rules and regulations in full as a web page, indexed in ten parts, and requires every manager and player to sign a waiver and release of liability before participating in any league activity.
The enforcement clause is unusually direct: anyone found participating without those documents on file is ineligible and plays at their own risk, and any manager, player or league member who permits it assumes personal risk for any claim made against the league.
That is a league putting the liability where the decision is made.
Documents belong beside the season they govern. A High Cheese league page keeps the rulebook and the waiver attached to the year in play, with the waiver signed as part of the registration rather than chased separately.
